While I'm usually not a fan of shock collars, we had exhausted other options to curb our dog's barking. This collar offers three adjustable levelsbeep, vibration, and safe shockdirectly on her, making the beep effective most of the time. In situations where she gets worked up, like seeing a perceived threat, a quick vibration helps. Haven't needed to use the shock yet, but it's reassuring to have. Overall, it's been a game-changer for some peace and quiet.
Dealing with my hyper 9-month-old Goldendoodle has been a challengeshe digs holes, ignores my calls, pulls on walks, and barks incessantly. Nothing seemed to work until I tried this collar! Surprisingly, just the beep stops her in her tracks. I was initially hesitant about using shocks, but if it meant gaining control over her, I was willing to try. For my 100lb 1-year-old German Shepherd, the audible function works well. The vibration, set to the highest level (16), sometimes catches his attention and sometimes doesn'tit could just be his personality.The "tazer" (shock) function has absolutely no effect until around level 50, but at around level 70, he stops and takes stock of his actions. So far, he's responded well up to 100 yards.German Shepherds can be stubborn but quick learners. After 2 or 3 shocks, he understands that the audible beep means he needs to stop what he's doing. My training sequence goes like this: command, beep, vibrate, command, shock.After just one week, 90% of the time he doesn't go beyond the audible warning. He plays in water every day, and the collar has held up fine so far. If you invest the time and effort, this can be a valuable training tool. Overall, I'm happy with it so far.
